Learn How You Can Stay Connected This Holiday – Mobile WiFi

It’s holiday time in Cape Town. Everyone has booked holiday accommodation long time ago. And very disappointed are the later sleepers. Sorry.

But for those who are lucky enough let’s discuss being:

Connected cheaply and effectively all the time this holiday.

Who do not want to be connected? Facebook. Twitter. Email. Whatsapp. Phone a friend. Play games. Watch movies and sport. Read a book.

You get to your accommodation and there’s ADSL but no WiFi. Or there’s nothing. Some poorly informed business or accommodation owners sell you ridiculously expensive WiFi vouchers. The examples are endless.

I prefer to know what to expect and even then it’s more peaceful if I am in control of my connectivity. Yes. know it’s boring but it can only get worse. How do you feel?

I suppose if you are still reading then you agree and are looking forward…….

Here’s the solution, I propose, to all your connectivity issues this holiday.

Go Mobile WiFi This Holiday

At only R99 pm you get a gig of data.

All you need is a MiFi device like this one:

Wikipedia explains this little MiFi device as follows:

MiFi stands for “My Wi-Fi”. A MiFi device can be connected to a mobile phone (cellular) carrier and provide internet access for up to ten devices. The MiFi works at a distance up to 10 m (30 ft) and will provide internet or network access to any WiFi-enabled peripheral device.

All you need to do is get yourself a MiFi device, a SIM with data and you created your own mobile WiFi hotspot. You can share the password and your friends can also be connected. Obviously as long as they are within range.

Afrihost was giving these devices freely away. Today they are selling for R796 once off. But I saw the same device for R615.

Okay you have the device what about data?

As I suggested you can use your own SIM from Vodacom or whoever. But that will be a costly mistake. The data will be expensive. Rather get a SIM (and device) from Afrihost and choose one of the following:

The good news is that Afrihost data is not only cheaper there’s no contract. So. If you don’t use it stop buying data.

I like that.

From now on I will be travelling with My WiFi  wherever I go. And those in my party can join My WiFi.

What do you think?

Is this something you will consider?

Do you expect Capeholidays to give you such great advice?
