The road between Muizenberg and St James has now been completed and what an improvement especially with the parking bays next to the road which used to be a major problem in the past.
The next phase between St James and Kalk Bay has just been started and we all feel sorry for the shop owners in Kalk Bay as this will surely affect their business.
On this stretch of road there will be no “Stop and Go” as was the case between Muizenberg and St James.
For the next 2 years while this stretch is being upgraded the Main Road through Kalk Bay will be one way only. Motorists travelling from Muizenberg will use the normal road towards Kalk Bay or Boyes Drive as an alternative. Travelling from Kalk Bay towards Muizenberg is another story. You will only be allowed to use Boyes Drive and not Main Road.
Keep this in mind when you plan your next holiday in the area.
