Going through many of the beach towns (Simon’s Town, etc) on False Bay. You can see the european influence and some of the houses were amazing! Feels meditterean. Once we reached Cape Point we made the trek up for some outstanding views – it is the southeast corner of the Cape Peninsula, which is a mountainous and very scenic.

Hendelina Hamukanda is one of the most interesting Ekoka artists and one of my firm favourites. Born in Oshana, north of Okongo, she now lives in Ekoka with her grandmother and her two children. She is in her late 20’s and has five brothers and 3 sisters.

A few weeks ago we stayed in a lovely St James home, between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay. Over the road, and we were next to the beach, on this same walk. One morning to Kalk Bay and the other morning to Muizenberg. Coffee at Knead in Muizenberg or coffee at Olympia Cafe. Olympia opens at six thirty in the morning and it’s great for early walkers like me.
