What’s Your Sunrise Like?

Simonstown Sunrise

Every morning you wake up and what do you see? Smog, or your neighbours face? How long can you see nothing? The other day one of our Cape Town holiday maker’s said he wanted a house with a view. If not he can just as well get fogged over in Johannesburg.

We are lucky enough to run our family business – CapeHolidays.info – from home in Simonstown. Now, if you are awake early in the morning this is what you will see.

Looking out over False Bay we get entertained by massive schools (or is it pods) of dolphins. In the next few months we expect to see Southern Right Whales again. On perfect days their snorting can wake us up.

You would agree that this is very different to your snorting neighbour.

I am sure you take your dogs for walks.  I have Gino, the italian Greyhound, and Jasper, the chihuahua. (Jasper was wanted by Nandi but he ended up staying with us.) Here’s where I take my dogs for a walk. This is a small secluded beach in Simonstown called Water’s Edge.

Although we look after Jasper, Nandi loves her dog and would not be happy if I only share Gino with you.

Okay. Now that I have Nandi happy let’s focus on you again. We hope to see you in Cape Town soon. And let us find you a bright sparking place in and around Cape Town with a great view. Something like this:

This photo is also from Water’s Edge in Simonstown. On this small beach is only one house. Unfortunately it’s not available for short-term rentals. It’s been in the family for a 100 years. Next time call me and I will show it to you at sunrise.

Have fun

Johan Horak from the CapeHolidays.info team; where we happily assist you from our offices with a real view.
