We had a lovely holiday in simonstown

We had a lovely holiday in simonstown, we loved the house, it was clean, easily accommodating 6 adults, the photos were very accurate, beds were comfortable and pretty, lounge was also comfortable and interesting, main bedroom was fabulous,we loved the antique baths, the shower was also good, attention to detail is excellent and Everything we needed was available.

Location is good beautiful seaforth beach is directly in front of the house and is less than 5 min walk, we loved watching the penguins here, nice restaurant on the beach, boulders beach is 10 min walk. Simonstown centre is 2/3min drive we loved The meeting place restaurant, especially upstairs, also Harbour house restaurant in kalk bay. It is quite close to Cape Point nature reserve and the scenery en route is spectacular, Cape point vineyard in noordhoek is a 10 min drive , Thursday evening there is well recommended ,loads of fun and interesting places are within easy reach.

Overall an excellent holiday home , only one negative is that it is situated on the busy main road ,traffic starts around 5:30 and is fairly busy for most of the day, as the patio is the only outside area its not very relaxing, however we spent most of our time out and about, would be wary of taking young children.
Johann was friendly(even though we were difficult to reach due to overseas cell phone) arranging access was uncomplicated Geoff was on hand to welcome us and left his number in case of problems which we did not have . I would recommend this home to my friends.

I can not express how nice this house is, highlights have to be the master bedroom upstairs, the covered courtyard area and the view from the porch! Although only two of us stayed here, the house can easily accommodate a further four people. Kitchen and lounge areas were ideal and parking was simple and convenient. Communications with the host through the entire process were friendly and fast and there was a friendly face waiting for us when we arrived. Be sure to look at the book on the coffee table as it features the Whale House. Simons Town is perfect for exploring the Cape region over several days and the bars and restaurants in and around the town are well priced and of good quality. There is a nice beach within a couple of minutes walk where you can get impressively close to the penguins! This is my best experience to date, thank you so much!

Very good Location and a beautiful lovely old house. Nice people and good communication. We don’t have any problems.

NOTE: Whale House is an historic house. If you are looking for sparkling surfaces then you’ll be disappointed. The fittings are original. The bath taps are copper and irreplaceable. As you can see from the review above; people love the home. December we had people staying here for 20 days. They wanted to buy the home but then we get others who gives it 4 out 5 for value. We expect 5 out 5 every time. So if you are the bright sparking kind of guest let’s accommodate you in such a home..
